What is a timed release?A timed release will be exclusively accessible on the Artefact website for a designated time frame. The final edition size will be determined by the number of orders placed during this period. Once the release finishes, the edition size will be established, and orders can no longer be placed.Time limited editions are produced by hand and authenticated after launch, this means shipping time will vary per product. We keep our customers up to date on the status of their art editions through email. As soon as the release is produced the artwork will be sent out.
What is an limited artist edition?
An artist edition is part of a unique series. Artist editions are fixed in quantity, meaning we will only ever produce a certain number.
Are the artists actively involved in the production?
Yes. We collaborate directly with our artists to craft editions that faithfully reflect their artistic portfolio. Furthermore, each artist individually reviews and gives their final approval to the editions.
How do I know my limited edition is authentic?
Each edition comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed by the artist. Additionally every edition will be signed, marked, or numbered on the edition itself.
When will my order be shipped?

How long does the shipping process typically take?

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs vary based on the size, weight, and where your item is headed. These costs will be calculated before you check out and included in the total order amount. We use trusted premium carriers for all deliveries.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do ship worldwide, employing our trusted global carriers. Please keep in mind that international orders may incur customs duties upon arrival in the destination country. These duty taxes are separate from the shipping and handling charges and should be paid locally.
How are items declared for international orders?
For international shipments, we declare them as limited edition artworks, corresponding to the nature of the specific item you've purchased. The declared value will match the purchase price of the artwork. Unfortunately, we are unable to label your shipment as a gift.
Is my order insured during the shipping process?
Yes. We evaluate the value of the artwork to establish the necessary insurance coverage in case any issues arise during the shipping to your location.
Will I be charged duties and taxes by the customs of my country?
All artworks are shipped from our headquarters in The Netherlands. VAT For shipments to EU addresses, we apply the local VAT rate. When an EU-based customer completes their purchase, the VAT will be automatically displayed. If you're purchasing art for a VAT-registered business, please contact us first, and we can provide a VAT-exempt invoice. Duty Tax Shipping artwork outside the EU frequently involves duty taxes. The exact amount taxed varies based on the artwork and customs regulations in the destination country.
Is the price shown inclusive of VAT?
VAT is solely applicable when shipping to an EU address, and it will be assessed at the prevailing local VAT rate. While browsing from within the EU, the prices are shown with VAT included. If you are purchasing art for a VAT-registered business, please reach out to us beforehand, and we can supply a VAT-exempt invoice.
Where are works dispatched from?
We ship all works from our headquarters in The Netherlands.
How will my order be packaged?
All our artworks are dispatched in custom-designed packaging to guarantee secure delivery. If a certificate of authenticity is applicable, it will be included in the package. Shipping labels and customs documents will be attached to the exterior. Please exercise caution when opening and unpacking..
Once your artwork has arrived, you have 14 days to let us know if you would like a refund. You can get in touch with us at returns@artefact.global We are only able to process refunds for artworks returned in perfect condition and in their original undamaged packaging, so make sure to add an extra sending box for protection. Refunds for returned goods will be made within 14 days of their arrival to our adres. All refunds will be issued to the original payment method, and can take 10 days to appear in your account. Please ensure that all relevant documentation is included, which may consist of the Certificate of Authenticity and any other relevant items inside the package, as appropriate. Artefact is unable to reimburse any customs import duties paid by you to local customs authorities. In certain instances, it may be possible for you to seek reimbursement for these expenses through your local tax authorities.
